The Oaks is Situated only 10 minutes from Tamarindo and Brasilito, 18 minutes from Flamingo, 20 minutes from Playa Grande and 25 minutes from Playa Avellanas and Playa Negra, The Oaks is your perfect base for surfing, fishing, horseback riding, volcano tours, golfing plus Tamarindo’s active night life and amenities.
Getting Around:
Many people prefer to rent a car so they can explore the many beaches and activities in the area. The road is paved from Liberia to Tamarindo and the cars travel at a slow pace making it easy to drive around. Other options for getting around is to take the local transit/bus to surrounding towns and or a taxi. Most of the tour companies would be glad to pick you up right in from of The Oaks if you choose to go on one of the many tours in the area.

Grocery Stores:
There are several grocery stores in the area, about a 5 min. drive in either direction). If you are looking for an American type of store go toward Tamarindo and the Auto Mercado is just on the outskirts of town. You will find most of the products that you purchase back home.

Car Rentals:
There is no shortage of car rental businesses in Costa Rica. You can get your own transfer to The Oaks from the airport or ask for assistance in finding a company. There is safe and secure parking in from of the condo. We rented a 4X4 vehicle from Vamos in Liberia - fast and friendly service with great rental rates. You can also rent a car right in Tamarindo in case you change you mind after you arrive.
Restaurants:
Just a ten minute drive to Tamarino and you will find over 88 restaurants! Everything from Sushi, to Italian, Seafood and more. I usually check Trip Advisor and read over the reviews to get some opinions. Or take a short drive to Huacas and grab a made to order pizza for an awesome price.
